The welfare, safety and protection of all children is paramount to the staff / students / volunteers of Chatterbox. As part of normal childcare practice staff will ask parents / carers about unexplained marks and bruises. These accidents will then be entered into the nursery accident at home book.
If staff feel concerned about the possibility of child abuse they will contact the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub. All staff regularly attend child protection courses and are kept fully updated with current legislation. All concerns will be reported to the childcare Manger – Donna Knowles, who is the Dedicated Safeguarding Lead. These matters will of course be treated in the utmost confidence.
We also ask parents to fill in a ‘use of images’ form to ensure that parents know of any photo’s taken at nursery of their child
